What should I expect to see at a School Board meeting?
Each meeting begins with a welcome, opening prayer, and pledge of allegiance, then the trustees vote to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. If any speakers have signed up to address the board, they will speak. Then, the Superintendent will give his report. The Board will then address all action items, which are all denoted on the agenda with a number and name. They will discuss (if necessary) and vote on each item. Finally, each committee will give its reports, and the financial report will be presented.
